June Bee Block for Kimberly and another for me...

Zip Zip and away to a lovel pink and green prairie point.   Okay. I must admit this was a bit daunting.  This block had any number of challenges, textures....zippers, and creation, oh my.

So i had any number of ideas, and decided to focus on the fabric.  So here it goes...I hope she likes it...I got a chance to make prairie points...never heard of them before this challenge, much less made them...it was cool...and quite a bit of fun.  I even learned that there are two different types...so i went for the ones that nestled in one another...Thanks Kimberly....it was fun...I hope you like it.

MORE MAY BEE BLOCKS FOR ME...

And I received my bee block from another bee member today...I love it...I have one more to receive...then i shall begin constructing the quilt top...I will wait to reveal my block...When I completed the top...my block will be shown...smiles...something for you bloggers to look forward to...smiles.

Yummy Goodies

Okay, I must admit, I have been on a fabric acquiring spree...It is nothing so wonderful than to go into a store armed with a lovely discount and buy fabric.  Everyday its a new item, a new choice...it is wonderful...

But it is not just going into the store...I have also spent a few days a week online...and look at what I got..

I just could not resist...it was so Ayn Rand...smiles the colors is not that great in these two pics...but hey. you get the gist..

Random selection along with my Atlas Shrugged thought process...

And above thanks Canton Village Quilt Works...Jackie...lovely and oh so speedy.

And then I decided to go get a mystery from Keepsake...and see the above retro looking lovelies.

And, he who wouldn't want a diamond in the rough...I can't wait to see what I will do with these lovely solids...and yes there is more on the way...and some more that I have not shown...Yikes...I am going to have oh sooo much fun..

AND LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, NOT LEAST...the June Bee for NYC Metro Mod Bee.  Kimberly's choices...

Ahhhhh Berries and Water...

I am working on a quilt for a lovely couple that have recently tied the knot.  I have had so many ideas, and ended up with something simple and meaningful.

To this end, I wanted to include two words that are near and dear to their hearts...and I had them give them to me in their family (native) language....No the words don't say berries and water...smiles... its Embrace and Love.

This concept came from "The little collection's" quilt that I saw during a guild meeting, so I chose to do the cursive in the outline format...smiles.. Thanks A...  Yhe twigs and berries are all free hand without any sketching.
