The Three Kings for Helen (December Mod Queen Bee)

Merry Christmas Helen.   I love it when a plan comes together.  I had soo much fun making this block for you.  I decided to stretch myself a bit...you soo deserve it...you are a wonderful person...and I am very thankful to have you in my life...Yes, I know kinda sappy.

But here it is.  She asked for a block that features your favorite holiday and provided this luscious gold fabric.  So, I had to build upon it...I hope you enjoy.

Through My Kitchen Window, a Bee Block for Jess

Oh what fun. My November Metro Mod Bee Block was to make a kitchen window. Jess wanted a kitchen window block. She provided clear, easy, and concise measurements to create a fun block. She provided the window "sashings and frame" and asked us to create our windows with fabric of our choice.

Being a NY City girl, I thought about what I see through my Window... and the city nightlife came to view.

I am going to have to make a quilt of my own and focus on all the things I see through my City window. Oh brother, another thing for my quilt bucket list. Smiles.

Jess, I hope you enjoy.

Round and round the bee block goes for Nicole

This was one of the most entertaining blocks that I have done to date. I have always liked the Dresden Plate bit never ventured a try. This one was even more fun because I wanted to do something different. She sent these great Kaffee Fasset fabrics...and only required we center it on the light blue block and the orange polka dot for the center.

So this is what I spent my Saturday afternoon doing...Nicole..I hope you enjoy.

It Takes Two

I am smiling as I managed a weekend with some sewing in it...smiles.  So for starters to get the creative juices, I worked on the tops for two beautiful twin baby girls.  I sort of free formed it.  I chose to do different quilts for each, as they don't even have similar names....smiles

And For the Queen Bee Lisa...for the month of July....Here is "Which Way Do I Go"
Lisa wanted us to focus on triangles...She sent some lovely fabric and we were required to keep the Red Triangle in tact.  I looked at the fabric, and looked, and looked, and was not sure which way to go...so I free formed as many triangles as I could muster...I hope she likes it...

June Bee Block for Kimberly and another for me...

Zip Zip and away to a lovel pink and green prairie point.   Okay. I must admit this was a bit daunting.  This block had any number of challenges, textures....zippers, and creation, oh my.

So i had any number of ideas, and decided to focus on the fabric.  So here it goes...I hope she likes it...I got a chance to make prairie points...never heard of them before this challenge, much less made them...it was cool...and quite a bit of fun.  I even learned that there are two different types...so i went for the ones that nestled in one another...Thanks Kimberly....it was fun...I hope you like it.

MORE MAY BEE BLOCKS FOR ME...

And I received my bee block from another bee member today...I love it...I have one more to receive...then i shall begin constructing the quilt top...I will wait to reveal my block...When I completed the top...my block will be shown...smiles...something for you bloggers to look forward to...smiles.
